You can find us at number 1, Muthu Street in Veerasamy Nagar. That’s in the Chrompet area of Chennai. We’ve been operating Sterlite Industries India Limited from this location for some time. Chennai is a big, humid city, and Chrompet has its own rhythm. Our office is tucked away on a street that isn't too loud. It is a basic building, nothing that would stand out if you weren't looking for it. We have a handful of people working here. We handle the local paperwork and some of the coordination for the company's activities in this region. We aren't into big corporate speeches or making ourselves sound like something we aren't. We’re just regular employees doing our jobs. The office has a bit of an old-school feel to it. Lots of folders and ledgers around. We know the local shops nearby and where to get the best snacks. It feels like a small community within the company. We don't have a fancy lobby. If you come by, you just walk in and find someone at a desk. We try to be helpful if people have questions. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of place. We’ve stayed here because it works for us and the commute isn't too bad for the staff. That’s pretty much the story of our little spot in Chennai. We keep our heads down and get the work finished.
