Shantilal Patel & Co. is located right in the Sardar Patel Timber Market in Bhanpuri. We’re out near Post Birgaon, at R.R. No-2. If you know the timber market, you know it’s a place that smells like sawdust and fresh wood all the time. We’ve been part of this market for a long time now. It’s a busy spot with lots of logs and planks being moved around every day. Our space is mostly taken up by stock, as you’d expect. We spend our days talking to builders and people looking for specific types of wood for their homes. It isn't a clean office job; there’s always a bit of dust on everything. We don't use much in the way of high-tech systems, just the basic stuff that works for us. The market can be a bit chaotic during the peak hours, with trucks coming in and out constantly. We just try to stay out of the way and get our work done. It’s a family-run kind of feel here, even if it’s a company name. We know most of the regulars who come through Bhanpuri. We aren't much for fancy talk or advertising. We just show people what we have in the yard and let the wood speak for itself. It’s been our life for years, and we’re used to the daily grind of the timber trade.
