Sashakt Mahila Services Private Limited is located over in Ram Krishna Nagar. If you know the area, it's pretty busy most of the time. We aren't some huge corporation with hundreds of staff members. It's mostly just a few of us here trying to keep things running. The name means empowered women and that's really what the focus is on, but in a very practical way. We deal with various services that people in the neighborhood need. Our office is a simple place. There’s usually a lot of chatting going on while we work because that’s just how we are. We don't like those strict rules where nobody can talk. It feels more like a community here. Some days are really hectic when everyone needs something at once. Other days, we sit around and plan for the next week. We’ve had our ups and downs since we started. Sometimes the internet goes out and we have to use our phones to get things done. It’s not perfect but it works for us. We know the people around here and they know us. That makes a big difference. We aren't doing any fancy ads or anything. We just provide the services we said we would. It's about being reliable. Sometimes we stay late to finish up paperwork, but we don't mind too much because the work is important to us and the women we work with.
