Sanjay Chemicals

Sanjay Chemicals is our family-run place located right opposite the Old Ganj Mandi on Subhash Road. Being near the mandi means it’s incredibly crowded every single morning. There are vegetable carts, tractors, and people everywhere, which makes getting to our shop a bit of a challenge sometimes. We sell all kinds of chemicals that people in the area need for their small shops or home use. The shop itself is quite old, with wooden shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. We have to use a ladder to reach the stuff at the top, and it’s always a bit of a workout. Subhash Road is one of those places where everyone knows everyone. We spend as much time chatting with the neighbors as we do actually working. We don't have a computer system to track everything; we still use the old-fashioned ledger books. It’s a bit messy, and there’s always a faint smell of sulfur or ammonia in the air, but we don't mind it. My father started this place, and we’ve just kept it going the same way for years. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know where every single bottle is hidden. It’s a simple life, and we don't feel the need to change much. We just open the shutters in the morning and see what the day brings for us.
