S K Medical Book House

If you look for us in Dr. Mahurkar Gali, you’ll find S K Medical Book House tucked away near Kutchery Chowk. It’s a busy part of Raipur Kutchery. We deal mostly with medical texts and references that students and doctors need. The shop isn't very big, so we have books crammed into every available corner. It gets pretty dusty because of the road outside. We spend our days answering the phone and helping people find specific editions. Sometimes the stacks get so high they look like they might tip over, but we haven't had an accident yet. Living and working around Kutchery Chowk means there is always noise from the street. We’re used to it by now. The tea stall nearby is where we usually end up when things get slow in the afternoon. People come in looking for very specific titles for their exams. If we don’t have it on the shelf, we usually have to dig through the back room. It’s a lot of manual work, checking lists and keeping track of what’s in stock. The lighting inside is a bit dim, but it stays cool enough. We don't do anything special here, just keep the books organized as best as we can. Every week we get new shipments and have to find room for them. It’s a constant struggle with space, but we make it work somehow. That’s just life in a medical bookshop.
