You can find us on Railway Station Road in Shakti Nagar, not far from the actual railway station. Our location is very practical because it makes moving our rice much easier when the trains are so close. The air around here usually smells like grain and burlap sacks. We spend most of our time dealing with large quantities of rice, making sure everything is bagged up properly and ready to go. It is a heavy job, and there is a lot of lifting and moving involved throughout the day. The warehouse isn't a pretty place; it's just a large, functional building with high ceilings and a lot of dust. We don't spend much time in an office. Mostly, we are out on the floor or near the loading area. The noise from the station is constant, but you stop noticing it after a few weeks of working here. We handle the exporting side of things, which involves a lot of paperwork and making sure the trucks arrive on time. Sometimes there are delays or issues with the shipments, and we just have to deal with them as they happen. It’s a straightforward business with no need for fancy talk. We are just people who know rice and know how to get it from one place to another. Every day is pretty much the same, filled with the routine of the station road and the grain trade.
