We are located right near the Laxmi Dall Mill and Balaji Garden. It’s a part of town where you can always smell the grain in the air. Anand Mohan Agrawal is who we’re with here. Working in commodities like rice means our days are dictated by the harvest seasons. When the farmers are busy, we are busy too. There’s always a bit of dust around the office because of the mills nearby. It’s just part of the job. We spend a lot of time looking at samples and talking to suppliers. It’s not the kind of work you do in a suit. Most days it’s just jeans and a shirt. We keep a ledger of everything that comes in and goes out. It sounds simple but it gets complicated when you have multiple loads arriving at once. The traffic near Balaji Garden can be a nightmare in the evenings. We usually try to get the heavy lifting done early in the morning before it gets too hot. There is a small tea stall just down the road that makes the best ginger tea, so we head there when things get stressful. We’ve been operating from this spot for a while now. People know us in this area. We don't spend money on big signs or ads. Word of mouth usually does the trick for us. It’s a practical way to run a business without overcomplicating things. We just focus on the grain and the shipments.
