R. K. Organic Chemicals

Our place is at Plot No.10 in Gondwara, which is right in the middle of the Urla Industrial Area. It is a dusty part of town with a lot of big trucks moving in and out all day long, so you have to be careful when you are driving down the main stretch. The air always smells a bit like metal and earth around here. We handle a lot of different chemicals at R. K. Organic Chemicals, so there are always drums being moved around or loaded onto pallets in the yard. It is physical work and it can get quite hot in the afternoons under the tin roof, but we have got a good routine going. The office is just a small room at the front where we keep the logs and the delivery notes. We do not have fancy furniture or a big sign, just the plot number and the gate. Most of our day is spent making sure the orders are mixed correctly and that nothing is leaking. It is a lot of checking and double-checking. Sometimes the power goes out in the industrial area, and everything stops for a while, which gives us a chance to sit outside and have some water. We have been at Plot 10 for years, and we know most of the guys working in the nearby units. It is a tough environment, but it is honest work and we take it seriously without needing to talk it up. We just focus on the drums and the deliveries.
