Pralaxaana Foundation

We are tucked away at L-10 in the Sales Tax Colony over in Khamardih, Raipur. It’s a busy little corner of the city, and we’ve been here for a while now. The office isn't anything special to look at. Just a few desks, some old filing cabinets, and a lot of paper stacked up. We spend most of our mornings drinking tea and talking about what needs to get done for the day. It gets really hot in Raipur during the afternoons, so we try to get the heavy work finished early. People from around the colony drop by pretty often with questions. We don’t have any big corporate goals or fancy slogans. We just try to help out where it makes sense. Sometimes we’re helping someone with a form, and other times we’re just listening to their problems. The traffic outside can get loud, especially when the trucks go by, but you eventually stop noticing it. We don't have a big sign outside, just the house number. It feels more personal that way. We aren't trying to be some huge organization. We’re just a small group of people who show up every day and do what we can. Our space is a bit cramped, especially when more than three people are inside, but we make it work. It’s a quiet life for the most part, focusing on the local folks here in 492004. We just like being part of the neighborhood.
