Parkiya Life Foundation

Parkiya Life Foundation is based over in Janjgir, specifically at the place of Shri Laxman Prasad Rathor in Singhansara. It’s a local operation through and through. We aren’t some big city group coming in with all the answers and no local knowledge. We are just local people who live here and want to see things improve for everyone. Our workspace is pretty simple, just some tables and chairs in a room we share. We spend a lot of our time out and about in Janjgir, talking to people and seeing what’s going on. We don't have a fancy website or a bunch of glossy brochures. Most people find out about us just by word of mouth or seeing us around the neighborhood. It’s a lot of hard work, and sometimes it feels like we aren't making much progress, but we keep at it anyway. The dust and the heat can be a lot sometimes, but that’s just part of living in this part of the country. We just try to be practical about what we can do. If a neighbor needs something, we see if we can help. It’s not always about big projects; sometimes it’s just the little things that matter most. We’ve been part of this community for a long time, so we really care about what happens here. It’s just us doing what we can with the little we have, one day at a time, every week.
