Olympia Bharati Social Welfare Foundation

You can find the Olympia Bharati Social Welfare Foundation over at Gokul Watika. We share our space with Kaileshwari Nandeshwar, which helps us stay grounded in the community here. It’s a nice enough area, and we’ve been working out of here for a bit now. We aren't doing anything flashy or high-tech. Mostly, we just look at what’s going on in the neighborhood and see where a bit of extra help might be useful. The foundation was started by people who just wanted to see things get a little better for everyone around here. It’s not a big team, just a few of us who put in the hours every day. We deal with all sorts of things, from helping kids with school stuff to checking on the older folks. The office is usually a bit messy with books and supplies everywhere. We don’t really follow a strict corporate schedule; if something needs doing, we just do it. It’s more of a community effort than a formal business. People in the area know where we are if they need to stop by for a minute. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to get around, but we manage to stay open. We aren’t looking for awards or anything like that. We just like being part of the local fabric and helping out where we can. It’s simple work, but it keeps us busy and feels right to us every day in our local area.
