Niramayah Cancer Foundation

The Niramayah Cancer Foundation is located over at F-57 in Gudiyari. It’s a busy part of town, but we like being right in the middle of it all. We started this because we know how tough things get for families around here when someone gets sick. It isn't a fancy hospital or anything like that. We just have our small space where we try to organize things and help people navigate what they're going through. Most of us have seen how hard health issues can be firsthand. Dealing with cancer is heavy, so we try to keep the atmosphere here as calm as possible, even when the Gudiyari market gets noisy outside. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to people who walk through our door. It’s a lot of paperwork and trying to find resources for folks who don't know where to turn. We don't have a big corporate board or anything like that. It’s just local people who care about what happens to their neighbors. Sometimes we run out of tea or the printer jams at the worst possible time, but we keep going. It’s about being there for the person standing in front of us. We’ve been at this location for a while and plan to stay as long as we’re needed. It's humble work, but it's what we do every day. We just want to help our local community manage things when life gets difficult.
