This specific office for our steel plant division is actually located in Bhilai, inside Sector-6. We are at Quarter Number 9/J on Street-Ave E. It is a residential area, so it’s much quieter than being right next to the furnaces at the plant. Living and working in a township like Bhilai has its own rhythm. The houses all look similar and there are plenty of trees lining the streets. We use this space to handle a lot of the administrative stuff that comes with running a steel division. There are stacks of files and blueprints everywhere. Since it is a quarter, it feels more like a home than a cold corporate office. We have a small kitchen area where we make our own coffee and lunch. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit on the porch and wait for it to come back on. Our neighbors are mostly other people working in the industries around here. We talk about production numbers and shifts while we’re watering the plants outside. It’s a very straightforward life. We don’t spend money on fancy signs or expensive furniture. We just need a quiet place to get the planning done so the work at the plant stays on track. It is a practical setup that has served us well for a long time now. We like the community feel of Sector-6 and wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
