Liyansh Foundation

We run the Liyansh Foundation from Sri Ram Niwas in Panchsil Nagar, in the Charoda area of Durg. It’s actually the home of Malti Bai, which is where we do all our planning and work. We don’t have a fancy corporate building or anything like that. We’re just regular folks from Durg who wanted to do something useful. Living in Panchsil Nagar, you see a lot of neighbors who are struggling with basic needs. We try to step in and help out where it makes sense. It might be helping a neighbor get their official papers sorted or helping a family get through a really tough month when there’s no work. We don’t have a big board of directors or anything official like that. It’s mostly just us sitting around the table at the house, talking about who needs help this week. Charoda is a place where people talk to each other, so we usually hear about problems pretty quickly. If someone is sick or a child is having trouble at school, someone usually lets us know. We use whatever little resources we have to try and make things a bit better. It’s slow work and we don’t always have all the answers, but we try to be honest about what we can do. We’ve been part of this community for years, so people know us. We just want to help our neighbors stay on their feet.
