Lafarge India Pvt.Ltd Sonadih

Out here in Village Mohatara, things move a bit slower than in the city. We are part of the Lafarge India Pvt.Ltd Sonadih setup. Our specific office is located near P.O. Latuwa in the Baloda area of Chhattisgarh. It's a very rural spot, surrounded by fields and a lot of dust from the work we do. Most of the guys here are from the nearby villages. We know each other's families and what’s going on in the neighborhood. It's not a fancy office at all. We spend a lot of time out on the site or at the gate. The road to Mohatara can be a bit bumpy depending on the season, especially when the rains come and turn everything into mud. We handle the local side of things for the Sonadih plant. It’s hard work, but it’s what we do. We don’t have any big meetings with fancy slides. It’s mostly just talking over a cup of chai and figuring out the schedule for the day. You can find us near the main village road. It’s quiet at night, but during the day it’s all go with the trucks and the loaders. We’ve been in this 493332 area for a good while. It feels like home to most of us. We just focus on keeping the operations steady and making sure the plant runs like it should. It’s simple, honest work in a quiet corner of the state. We don't ask for much, just a smooth day without any equipment breaking down.
