We are a small CA firm called Joglekar Maitra Company. Our office is actually inside Mr. Arun Kumar’s place at Hmt Chowk in Tatyapara. Raipur is where we’ve always been based. It’s not one of those modern offices with glass walls and expensive carpets. We have heavy steel cupboards to keep all the tax files safe. The floor is tiled and easy to clean, which is good because people bring in a lot of dust from the road. Our pin code is 492001 and we are right in the heart of the local area. Most of the day is spent looking at numbers on paper or screens. It’s quiet work. We don't have a receptionist, so when the bell rings, whoever is closest to the door goes to answer it. We drink a lot of water because of the Raipur heat. During March, we stay very late and sometimes order food to the office. It’s a small group of us working here. We’ve known each other for a long time. Mr. Arun Kumar is usually in his corner office with the door open. We don't use a lot of fancy corporate talk. We just tell people what they need to do for their taxes and help them with the forms. It’s a very straightforward way of running things. We don't have a big sign outside, just a small one near the entrance at Tatyapara.
