Jila Hospital

If you are near the bus stand in Bilaspu you have probably seen our hospital. We are located right by that busy area which is convenient for anyone traveling in from the surrounding districts. The sound of the buses and the shouting of the conductors is something we hear all day long but it just becomes background noise after a while. The hospital is a busy place because of where it’s situated. We get people who are just passing through and people who have lived in Bilaspu their whole lives. It’s a plain building and we don't spend much on making it look pretty. Our focus is more on making sure there are enough beds and people to help out when things get crowded. It can be a bit chaotic sometimes especially during the middle of the day when the bus stand is at its busiest. We don't have any polished brochures or a corporate office. Everything happens right here in these rooms. The staff is used to the fast pace and the variety of people who walk through the doors. We just provide a place where you can go when you’re sick or hurt without having to travel too far into the bigger city centers. It’s a basic setup but it’s an important one for this part of town and we just keep at it every single day without much fanfare or extra talk.
