We are located out in Vill. Kotra Bhata, which is part of the Mandir Hasoud area in Raipur district. It’s quite a bit different from the city center because things are slower out here. The office is near the post office in Paloud. You’ll see a lot of open land and fields before you get to us. It’s a good spot for storing equipment because we have the space. The dust is a constant thing, especially when the trucks are moving. We spend a lot of time talking to the local workers and checking on the supplies. It’s not a place for suits and ties. Most of us wear sturdy boots and clothes that we don’t mind getting dirty. The sun beats down pretty hard in this part of Chhattisgarh, so we usually take a longer break in the afternoon. We have a small kitchen area where we make tea. At night, it gets really quiet out here, which is a nice change from the city. But during the day, between the tractors and the birds, it's quite lively. We have a big map of the district pinned to the wall with lots of coffee stains on it. It’s been through a lot. Our boots are always caked in mud, so we try to leave them by the door. The local postman is a friend of ours and usually stays for a chat when he drops off the mail. We don't have high-speed internet that works all the time, so we’ve learned to be patient. Sometimes we have to drive into Raipur just to send a big email. It sounds primitive, but it makes us more careful with our work. We don't need a lot of corporate polish to get the job done. The structures we build are what matter, not how our office looks. We’re just a bunch of regular people working in the dirt and the sun to build something useful for the community.
