Our office is over at Muskan Residence, flat number 23, right near Pachipede Naka in Raipur. If you know where the MMI Hospital is, we are just a short walk from there. It’s a residential building, so it feels more like an apartment than a big corporate tower. Nisar Ahmed Dafedar is usually the one keeping things moving here. We’ve got desks set up in the rooms, and there’s always a bit of a breeze if we leave the balcony door open. Raipur gets really hot during the summer months, so we try to do the heavy lifting in the mornings. It’s mostly just us sitting around maps and project plans. Sometimes the neighbors pop in to say hello or ask about the work. The elevator in the building is a bit temperamental, so many of us just take the stairs to the second floor. It’s a good way to wake up. We have a lot of physical files because we don't trust everything to the computer. You can hear the sounds of the city through the windows, especially the sirens from the hospital nearby. It reminds us that things are always moving. We don't have a formal dress code, so most of us are in jeans and old shirts. The kitchen is just a corner with a kettle and some biscuits. We usually have our meetings around a small dining table that we repurposed. It’s a tight-knit group here. We know each other’s families and what’s going on in the neighborhood. We aren't looking to expand into some massive skyscraper. This flat works just fine for what we need to do. It’s honest work, and we do it without much fuss. If you come by, we might offer you a glass of cold water and a seat, but that’s about as formal as it gets.
