G.K General Store

G.K General Store is a small place in Narmada Para. We are situated on Gudiyari Road, right near the under bridge. You can hear the trains passing over every now and then, which is something you just get used to after a while. I opened this store because the neighborhood needed a place where they could get their daily needs without going too far. We sell everything from soap and toothpaste to bags of flour and rice. The shelves are a bit crowded because I try to fit as much as I can in the small space we have. My wife helps me out in the evenings when the crowd from the offices starts coming back home. We don't have any fancy displays or bright neon lights. It is just a simple corner shop with a counter and a few benches outside. People often stop by just to chat for a minute while they buy their groceries. Sometimes I forget to restock a certain item, but I usually get it in by the next day. The floor is made of plain cement and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it's a honest business. We don't have any big plans to expand or anything. We just want to keep serving the people on Gudiyari Road like we always have. It is our way of making a living.
