Essar Steel Ltd

We are based in the Roohi Building, which is located at Fawware Chowk in the Byron Bazar area of Raipur. It’s a well-known spot in the city, so people usually don't have trouble finding us. The building itself has been around for quite a while and has that old-school commercial feel to it. We are on one of the middle floors. Being in Byron Bazar means we are right in the middle of all the trade and commerce. The streets are always full of people and vendors. Inside our office, it is a bit more orderly. We manage things for Essar Steel Ltd from this Raipur branch. There are stacks of paper on almost every surface and the sound of a printer is almost constant. We don’t have a lot of modern furniture; we just use what has been here for years. It’s a comfortable enough place to spend eight or nine hours a day. We have a small window that looks out over the chowk, and it’s interesting to see the city move below us. Most of our work involves local clients and keeping track of inventories. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. It’s just a group of people doing a job in a busy market area. We try to finish our tasks before the evening rush makes it impossible to get a rickshaw home. Sometimes the lift stops working, but that is just part of being in an older building.
