Devi Iron & Steel (P) Ltd

We spend most of our mornings at the office in Fafadih, right here in Raipur. It is usually quite busy around Mansha Chembert with trucks coming and going all the time. My desk is in Block-"C", and it is always covered in stacks of invoices and delivery notes for iron rods and various steel sheets. We’ve been at this for a while now. Dealing with steel isn't exactly a glamorous job, but it is what we know. The office can get a bit noisy when everyone at Devi Iron & Steel (P) Ltd is on the phone trying to coordinate where the next load of metal needs to go. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up, so we just take the stairs instead. It keeps us moving, I guess. Raipur gets incredibly hot in the summer, which makes working with heavy metals even tougher, but we manage. We aren't some huge fancy corporation with a glossy lobby and receptionists. We are just a group of people who understand how the iron market works in this part of Raipur. People drop by without calling ahead sometimes, and we just offer them some tea and talk business. It’s pretty straightforward. We don’t have some big corporate mission or anything. We just make sure the orders get filled and the trucks leave on time. If there’s a delay at the yard, we deal with it. It’s just how things are done here. Every day is different, but the steel is always the same.
