Dau Kejuram Futeniabai Memorial Education And Hospital Foundation

Our foundation has a very long name, Dau Kejuram Futeniabai Memorial Education And Hospital Foundation, but we usually just think of it as our local project here in Samta Colony. We are tucked away at Plot Number 13 on Sukha Jhad Gali. If you know the area, you know that lane can be a bit tricky to find if you aren't looking for it. It’s a busy part of town, but our little corner stays relatively calm. We started this foundation in memory of family members, so it’s something that comes from the heart. We focus on basic things like schooling and health because those are the areas where people seem to struggle the most. We aren't some big hospital chain or a private school corporation. We are just a group of people working out of a building in Samta Colony. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the furniture is nothing special, but it works for us. People from the colony walk in and out all day long. We try to listen to what they need instead of assuming we already know. It takes a lot of time to get things moving with paperwork and permissions, but we just take it one step at a time. It’s slow work, and we don’t always have all the answers, but we are right here in the neighborhood if anyone needs us.
