Dahleez Welfare Foundation

Our office is at MIG II/35 in the Housing Board Colony of Khamtarai, up in the Sarkanda area. It’s a residential neighborhood, so it feels very much like a community space rather than a business district. Dahleez Welfare Foundation operates out of this house. We have a couple of rooms dedicated to our work, but the rest of the place feels like a regular home. There’s usually someone in the kitchen making tea or some papers scattered on the dining table. We don't really go for a stiff, corporate environment. It’s better when things feel a bit more relaxed. We spend our time talking to people from the colony and managing the various projects we have going on. Sometimes the neighbors’ kids are playing outside, and you can hear them through the windows. It’s just part of being here. We don’t have a big staff or a fancy website. Most of what we do is just handled through phone calls and face-to-face chats. It’s honest work, and we try to keep it as straightforward as we can. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big titles or glossy reports. If you come by, you’ll probably find us sorting through mail or planning out the next few weeks on a wall calendar. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. We like the quiet pace of Sarkanda and being close to the people we work with every day. It feels right.
