Our place is at G123 in the SPM Colony over in Hoshangabad, Madhya Pradesh. Crest Steel & Power Plant Pvt. Ltd. is the name on the gate. It is a bit of a trek to get out here, but it is where the work happens. Being in a colony like SPM means we are surrounded by a lot of other industrial-type stuff. It’s not a fancy commercial district. We deal with steel and power, which isn't exactly clean or quiet work. The office is inside the colony grounds. We have a small team managing the day-to-day stuff. Most of our time is spent making sure the plant operations are going okay. It’s a lot of practical, hands-on management. We don't have a bunch of receptionists or a lobby with a TV. It’s just desks, some chairs, and a lot of logbooks. Hoshangabad has its own rhythm, and we’ve fit into it over the years. We take our work seriously but keep the atmosphere pretty relaxed. You won't find anyone in a tuxedo here. We wear work clothes and get our hands dirty when we have to. It's an honest living. We keep the machines running and the paperwork filed. People know us in the colony as the steel folks. We just keep our heads down and do the job as best as we can. It’s a long day usually, but that’s steel work.
