Chhattisgarh Hospital is tucked away in Choubey Colony, and if you’ve lived around here long, you probably know the street. It’s a bit of a quiet neighborhood compared to the main roads, which is nice for the people staying with us. We’ve been operating out of this building for years, and it’s become a bit of a landmark for the locals in Choubey Colony. There is always something happening inside these walls, whether it’s a nurse rushing to check a chart or a family sitting quietly in the hallway. It’s not the kind of place you see in movies with high-tech gadgets everywhere, but we have what’s necessary to take care of the folks who walk through the doors. The mornings are usually the loudest with the shift changes and the breakfast trays moving around. Most of us have been working together for so long that we don’t even have to talk much to know what the other person is thinking. We see a lot of different people, from young kids with scraped knees to older folks who just need a check-up. It gets tiring sometimes, especially during the rainy season when the streets get a bit messy, but we enjoy the routine of it. We just show up every day, open the gates, and do our jobs without making a big fuss about things. It’s a decent place to work and a reliable spot for the community.
