If you head down to the railway station in Baikunth, you will find us right nearby. We are part of the Birla group, and our site here in the Raipur district is pretty large. The 493116 area is mostly known for this kind of work. Being so close to the station helps a lot with moving the cement, though it means there is always the sound of trains in the background. We have a lot of people working here in different shifts. It’s a very industrial environment with plenty of dust and heavy machinery. We don’t really have time for anything except getting the cement processed and loaded into the wagons or onto the trucks. The sun gets really intense in this part of Chhattisgarh, so the afternoons can be tough on the guys out in the yard. We’ve been a part of the local landscape for a long time. People around here usually know someone who works at the plant. It’s a straightforward operation. We just focus on the daily tasks and making sure the machinery doesn't break down too often. The office is right on site, and it’s usually full of people coming in and out with delivery notes. It isn't a quiet place, but it’s where we do our work every day. We just try to keep things moving as best as we can given the heat and the constant pace.
