Ahluwalia Hospital

Ahluwalia Hospital is situated in Ganj Para, on Seth Nemichand Gali. We are right opposite to the Prabhat Talkies, which is a very old cinema that most people in town know about. Sometimes in the evenings, we can hear the music from the movies if the wind is blowing the right way. Ganj Para is a busy part of the city, and our lane, Seth Nemichand Gali, is often full of people walking to the market. The hospital is an older building with high ceilings that help keep it a bit cooler in the summer months. We have a heavy wooden door at the entrance that creaks a little when you open it. Inside, it smells like cleaning fluid and old paper. We have rows of metal beds and some simple wooden cupboards for supplies. It’s not a fancy modern facility, but it’s been serving this neighborhood for a long time. The staff knows most of the families around here by name. We spend our mornings checking on everyone and our afternoons doing the paperwork. Sometimes the monkeys from the nearby trees come onto the roof and make a lot of noise. It’s just one of those things you get used to when you work in this part of town. We don't have any big advertisements, just the reputation we have built up over the years in Ganj Para. It’s a solid, reliable place for the community.
