Our office is tucked away in New Panvel, over at Ganga CHS in Sector 16. It is a residential area mostly, so it is a bit quieter than the industrial parts of Mahape where we do a lot of our actual fabrication work. Being in Podi No. 2 means we are close to the local markets. We’ve been operating under the Sp Fabricators name for some time now. The day usually starts with coordinating between the site in Mahape and the paperwork here at the flat in Panvel. It is a simple setup on Plot No. 13. We have some desks, a lot of files, and a phone that doesn’t stop ringing most mornings. Navi Mumbai has grown so much lately, and we see it every day from our doorstep. We don’t really do much fancy stuff. Mostly, it is just about managing the workers and making sure the materials arrive where they are supposed to go. Sometimes we are out at the units all day and the office stays locked. It is a small business life. You have to handle everything from the accounts to the logistics yourself. The local trains are always a factor in how our day goes. If the harbor line is late, everything else gets pushed back. We just try to get the jobs done and keep things moving. It's a lot of back and forth between the office and the shop floor, but we are used to the commute by now. We just stay focused on the tasks.
