We are set up at Plot No. 137 in Sarvoday Nagar, which is part of the Mhada Colony in Pen. Being in the Raigad district of Maharashtra means we are a bit away from the main rush of Mumbai, but we are still part of a very large group. Even though the name on the door is quite long and sounds formal, our day-to-day life here in Pen is actually pretty quiet and local. The Mhada Colony is a residential area, so we are surrounded by families and small shops. Our office is a straightforward place where we handle the specific needs of the Navi Mumbai SEZ projects. We have a lot of maps of the area and plenty of paperwork to go through every morning. Most of us live nearby, so we know the local roads and the best places to grab a quick snack during the day. We don’t have any big corporate slogans on the walls. It’s just desks, chairs, and people working. The weather in Raigad can get very humid, so the fans are always on full blast. We spend a lot of time communicating with the larger offices, but our focus is right here on the ground in Pen. It’s a mix of big-company business and small-town atmosphere. We just try to stay organized and get through our lists before heading home to our families in the evening.
