Being out here in Alibag, specifically in the Thal area, is a bit different from the city offices. We are based at At-Bhute, which is a quiet spot most of the time. The weather here is coastal, so the air is often salty and humid. It’s part of the Raigad district, and we’re tied into the work happening over in Pen and Dolvi. Most of the people working here are locals from the surrounding villages. We see the same faces every day. It’s not the kind of place where you wear a suit and tie. We’re more about practical shoes and getting things done. The office is simple. We have the basic stuff needed to keep track of the industrial operations. Sometimes the power goes out, but we’re used to it. We just wait it out or use the backup generator when needed. Life moves a bit slower here compared to Mumbai, but the work is still heavy. We handle a lot of the logistical bits for the steel business. It’s a lot of paper and phone calls. The road leading up to the office gets a bit muddy during the monsoon, so we have to be careful driving in. We've been part of this landscape for a long time now. People know where to find us if they need anything related to the plant. It's just a regular workday for us, keeping things moving along as best we can.
