You can find us over at H.No.- 263 in Kadav. It’s in the Karjat area of the Raigad district. It’s a bit different out here compared to the big cities. Global Telecom Ltd. handles a lot of the technical side of things for the phones and networks around this region. The office is right there in the village, so it’s a very local atmosphere. We don’t have any high-rise buildings or glass walls. It’s just a sturdy place where we keep our equipment and tools. Most of the guys are out in the field most of the day, fixing lines or checking towers. The rest of us stay back at the post in Kadav to handle the paperwork and the calls that come in. It can be quiet one minute and then very hectic the next when something goes wrong with a connection. We’ve been part of this community for a while. We know the people around here and they know us. It’s about keeping things connected, which is important in a place like this. The roads can be a bit rough, especially during the monsoon, but we manage to get around. We don't have a lot of fancy talk about what we do. We just fix what’s broken and try to keep the signal going. It’s simple, honest work in a beautiful part of Maharashtra.
