Our spot is out in Kalamboli, specifically at Santhusapet. If you know Kalamboli, you know it’s where all the heavy lifting happens. There are trucks everywhere and the air always smells like diesel and rubber. Our office is number 41621. It’s a practical place, built for work rather than comfort. We have drivers coming in and out at all hours, dropping off logs or picking up new manifests. The walls are a bit stained from the dust, but nobody really minds. We are focused on moving things from one state to another. There’s a lot of shouting to be heard over the engine noise outside. We spend our time on the phone coordinating with warehouses and making sure the loads are secured. It’s not a clean job. Your hands get dirty and the paperwork usually has a few smudges on it. We don't have a website that looks like a tech company. We just have trucks and people who know how to drive them. It’s a long day, usually starting before the sun is up and ending late. We drink a lot of tea to stay sharp. It’s the kind of place where a handshake still means something. We just keep the wheels turning and make sure the cargo gets to where it’s going without too much trouble. It is hard work but it is what we know how to do here. We just stay at it until the jobs are done.
