Arunamayee Tours & Travels

We set up Arunamayee Tours & Travels at the Gurushamam Complex in Panvel, not too far from Raigad Bazaar. It is a busy spot with people always coming and going to the market nearby. We have got a small storefront where we help people figure out their travel plans, whether they are just going to the next town or somewhere much further away. Most of the time it is just me and a friend sitting here answering phones and looking up bus schedules on the old computer. We have a few regular drivers we work with who take folks on trips. The office is not very big, so it gets a bit crowded when a whole family comes in to book a trip together. We have a few plastic chairs for people to sit on while they wait. We try to keep things simple for everyone. We know how stressful planning a trip can be, so we just tell people what is available and what it will cost without any hidden stuff. Panvel is a good place to be because so many people pass through here on their way to the coast or the hills. We get a lot of walk-ins from the bazaar area. Sometimes the internet is slow and we have to tell people to come back in an hour, but they usually understand. We have been here for a few years and most neighbors know us.
