Our place is located near Pahad Mandir Road over here in Raigarh Ho. Most people know the landmark because of the temple nearby. The Metro Hospital And Diabetes Research Centre stays pretty busy because so many people around Raigarh deal with sugar problems. It’s a regular sight to see folks waiting in the lobby early in the morning for their blood tests. We have a research section too, where we spend a lot of time looking at data and trying to figure out better ways for people to manage their health. The office is a bit cramped with all the files and computers, but we make it work. The staff is mostly local people who know the families coming in. Sometimes the air conditioning acts up when it gets really hot outside, but we just open the windows and keep going. Dealing with diabetes every day means we see a lot of the same faces, so you get to know people’s stories. It isn't a fancy setup, just a practical one for Raigarh. We try to keep things organized, even when there are ten things happening at once. The road outside can get a bit noisy with the scooters and trucks, but once you’re inside, the focus is just on the patients and the research work. It’s a long day, from the first check-up to the last report filed, but this is our corner of the world and we’re used to the rhythm of it.
