Our business is based in Kharghar at Gayatri Sankul. We are on the fifth floor in flat C/502. It’s a quiet residential area in Sector 20. We deal with food products. We don't have a big factory. Most of the work happens right here in our small kitchen and packing area. We started this because we liked making things that taste good. It’s a small team, mostly family and a couple of neighbors. We spend a lot of time measuring ingredients and sealing bags. The smell of spices is always in the air. We don't have a fancy marketing team or a polished image. We just sell food that we would eat ourselves. Sometimes the boxes take over the living space and we have to climb over them. It’s a bit of a scramble during the holidays when orders go up. We don't use any complicated technology. Just a basic weighing scale and a sealing machine. We keep our records in a simple ledger. Kharghar is a nice place because it’s not as hectic as Mumbai. We can actually see the sky from our window. We don't have a big slogan. We just hope people like what we make. It’s a very personal business for us. We put a lot of care into every batch. It’s not a corporate thing, it’s just us doing what we know best in our own way. It keeps us busy and happy.
