We are based out here in Jagat. It is a bit of a quiet area compared to the bigger cities, but there is always plenty to do at the facility every day. Working in energy means the clocks never really stop. Most of the machinery has to run at all hours to keep things going like they should. A lot of people who work here live nearby or commute from the surrounding villages on bikes. In the mornings, you see the staff bus pulling in and everyone heading to their stations. It is a lot of metal, wires, and monitoring screens that need constant watching. During the summer, the sun gets really hot over the open spaces here. We spend a lot of time on maintenance and making sure the equipment is holding up against the weather. It isn't exactly quiet work, but you get used to the hum of the machinery after a few days on the job. Spending lunch breaks in the canteen is typical, talking about the weather or whatever is happening in the local town. It is a big site, so you end up walking quite a bit between the different sections. We do not really have customers walking in off the street like a shop would. It is more about the technical stuff and keeping the output steady. Sometimes it gets a bit repetitive, checking the same gauges every hour, but it is what pays the bills. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
