Our place is tucked away in Village Kharapada, right near the railway station in Pen. Being so close to the tracks means you always hear the trains passing by, which sort of sets the rhythm for our day. It is a local spot, not very big, and definitely not corporate-looking. We have a small yard and some rooms where we keep the records. The walk from the station is short, but it gets pretty muddy when the monsoon hits this part of Maharashtra. We’ve got a few people from the village working here, so everyone knows each other’s business. It’s the kind of place where you leave the door open to catch a breeze because the fans don't always do the trick in the heat. We deal with the cement bags and the transport guys who come through. There’s a lot of shouting back and forth to get things loaded right, but it’s all in good spirits. Sometimes we sit outside on the benches when things quiet down. We don't have a fancy coffee machine, just a kettle and some local tea packets. It is a simple life here. We just focus on getting the work done and getting home. It’s dusty, noisy, and busy, but it feels right for where we are located. We’ve been here a while and the routine suits us fine. There isn't much more to it than that. We just keep our heads down and work.
