About Jindal Power Ltd. – Metals & Minerals in Raigarh
We are based out here at the Jindal Power Limited site in Tamnar. It’s a huge area, and you can see the structures from quite a distance away. This isn't your typical office job; it's a massive operation that runs twenty-four hours a day. I work as part of the team that stays on-site to keep things moving. There is always a low hum of machinery in the background, no matter where you are on the property. We have a lot of different buildings and units spread out across Tamnar. My day involves a lot of walking and checking on different sections to make sure everything is ticking along as it should. It’s a dusty place, and we all wear our safety gear all day long. The heat from the equipment can be intense, especially during the summer. We have a canteen where we all eat together, and that’s usually where you hear the most talk about the daily grind. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s important work that keeps us busy from dawn to dusk. There’s a lot of responsibility involved in being here, but we don’t talk about it in fancy terms. We just see it as our job. Most of us live in the staff quarters nearby, so the plant is a big part of our lives. It’s a heavy-duty environment where practical skills matter more than anything else. We stay focused on the task at hand and just keep the power running.
