Jaypee Gujarat Cement Plant

This Jaypee Gujarat Cement Plant is the one located in Kotarlia, Raigarh. It's out in Chhattisgarh, and it’s a lot different from an office in a big city. Being in 496001, we are right in the middle of an industrial patch. The plant itself is where most of the action happens. There is a lot of dust and noise, which is just part of the cement business. We have workers coming in for shifts at all hours of the day and night. The site in Kotarlia is pretty big. We have the machinery and the storage areas all spread out. It’s a busy place with trucks coming in to load up and others bringing in raw materials. The office part is just a small section of the whole facility. It’s pretty basic with just what we need to keep track of the production numbers and the staff schedules. People around here know us because we’ve been a part of the Raigarh industrial landscape for a long time. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or anything like that. Everything here is for a purpose. The ground is often grey from the cement, and everyone wears sturdy boots. It’s a tough environment but the people working here are used to it. We just focus on keeping the plant running and making sure the output stays steady every week. It is hard work, but it is what we do.
