Jagdamba Rice Mill

Our mill is located right on Jain Mandir Road, very close to the post office here in Kunkuri. You can’t miss it because it’s near the Jain Mandir. The building is a bit old, but it serves its purpose. We spend our days handling the rice processing for the farmers nearby. It’s a dusty job, and my clothes are usually covered in husks by noon. We’ve got a few machines that have been running for years. They need a bit of oiling every morning to keep them from screeching. Jagdamba Rice Mill isn't a big industrial complex. It’s more of a local gathering spot for people bringing in their crops. We have a small shed where the bags are stacked up. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, especially when it pours and we have to move everything inside quickly. We don't have a fancy sign, just the name painted on the wall. My uncle and I run the place. We don't use any high-tech software or anything like that. Just scales and receipts. Life in Kunkuri is slow, and we like it that way. If the machinery breaks, we fix it ourselves. The floor is concrete and has some cracks, but it holds up. We open early and close when the work is finished. It’s just a regular rice mill doing what we’ve always done on Jain Mandir Road.
