Our office is situated at number 43 in the Rct Apartment building on Odissa Road. We are quite close to Kabir Chowk, which is a major landmark in this part of town. Since we are an engineering firm, the office is usually a bit of a mess. There are rolls of blueprints on almost every surface, and the shelves are stuffed with technical manuals and old project files. The building itself is an older apartment block, so the rooms are a bit small and the hallways are narrow. We have a few desks set up for the engineers, and a drafting table that takes up most of the space in the main room. It is not a fancy corporate headquarters by any means. We spend a lot of our time out on various construction sites, so the office often feels like a temporary landing spot where we come to write reports and plan the next stage of work. We have a small fridge for cold water and a cupboard full of hard hats and safety vests. The noise from the traffic on Odissa Road is constant, but you get used to it after a while. We aren't here to impress anyone with a polished look. We are here to get the engineering work done properly. It is hard, practical work that keeps us busy from early morning until late at night.
