Jaiswal Trading Company

Down here in Uttar Dinajpur, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. Jaiswal Trading Company is based out of Allu Patti in Rampur. If you’re trying to find us, the post office is the best landmark. We’re near the station at Chapporpost, not too far from Kishanganj really. It’s a dusty road, and during the rains, it gets a bit messy, but that’s just life here in Chakuiya. We’ve been trading for quite some time. It’s a family-run kind of thing, really. The warehouse is where most of the action is. We spend our mornings checking the stock and talking to the drivers. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting bags and moving crates around. My uncle started this place, and we’ve just kept it going. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just know us by name around these parts. The office is just a small room with a heavy wooden desk and a lot of ledgers. We still write a lot of things down by hand. It’s simpler that way. Sometimes the phone line acts up, but we manage. Being near the station helps with the logistics. Most of the guys working here live nearby. We take a long break for lunch when the sun is high. It’s honest work, and it keeps us busy from dawn till dusk. We don't overthink it, just keep the tally marks moving.
