Jr Medical Education Foundation

We operate out of the Raiganj Jeevan Rekha Diagnostic building in Ukilpara. It’s a busy medical setting, so there are always people coming in for tests or picking up results. We have a small corner designated for the foundation work. Because it’s a diagnostic center, the smell of disinfectant is something we’ve just grown accustomed to every day. Raiganj is a busy town, and Ukilpara is right in the thick of it. Our desks are usually covered in forms and educational pamphlets. It can get a bit hectic when the clinic is full, but we just stay in our section and keep working through our list of things to do. There’s a lot of coming and going, which can be a bit loud, but it keeps the energy up. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who know how things run. We drink a lot of tea to stay focused, usually from the shop just across the street. The power can be a bit unreliable in this part of West Bengal, so we’ve learned to save our work often on the computers. There is no corporate ladder or fancy titles here. We are just a group of people in a medical building trying to stay on top of the paperwork and help out where we can. It’s practical work, and we don’t try to make it sound like anything more than it is. We just keep our heads down and get through the stack of files.
