Camellia

Living out here in Vill-Birnagar is a lot different than being in a big city. Camellia is based right here in this part of Uttar Dinajpur where things move a bit slower. We are surrounded by a lot of green, and the air is much better than what you get near the highways. Most of our day is spent dealing with local matters and making sure our work gets done before the sun goes down. Since we are in a village, everyone knows everyone else’s business, but it also means people help you out when you need it. We handle a lot of the day-to-day operations ourselves without any big staff. Sometimes the rain makes the roads a bit difficult, which slows down our transport, but we have learned to plan around the weather. It is not a flashy place, just a functional space where we keep our records and meet with people. We try to keep things straightforward. If someone comes by with a question, we give them a direct answer. There is a lot of pride in working in the same place where you live. You see the results of your effort every time you walk down the street. We do not spend money on big ads or anything like that. We just focus on what is in front of us and hope for a good season. It is a quiet way to run a business.
