Wikus - India Pvt. Ltd. is located at Plot No-Pap-A-38 in the Chakan Industrial Area, Phase-IV. It’s out in the MIDC part of Village Nighoje, Taluk Khed. Being out here means we are surrounded by a lot of other factories and dusty roads. The drive into work can be long, but this is where the industry is. Our space is mostly a big warehouse where we handle all the cutting tools and blades. It’s a practical setup with plenty of metal and heavy racks. The air gets a bit thick with the smell of machines, which is just part of the job. We don’t have a fancy reception area or anyone in a suit. It’s usually just us in our work gear making sure the inventory is right. The summer heat in Khed makes the building quite warm, so we keep the big doors open for a breeze. Most of our day is spent checking the stock and getting shipments ready for the trucks. It is a quiet routine for the most part. We have been in this location for several years and have seen the area grow quite a bit. There’s not much to do around here except work, so that’s what we focus on. We just try to stay on top of the orders and keep the machines running without too much trouble.
