Sukrish Steelvridhi is based out of Sai Mannat in Kharghar. We are up on the 15th floor, specifically D 1501. It’s a bit different being in a high-rise in Sector 34/A compared to a ground-floor shop. The view of Navi Mumbai from up here is actually pretty good, though we spend most of our time looking at spreadsheets and order forms. Kharghar is a newer area, so everything feels a bit more spread out. We handle the steel business from this office, coordinating everything over the phone and computer. It’s a quiet environment, which helps when we have to focus on the numbers. Sometimes the wind really whistles around the building since we're so high up. We don’t have a big storefront where people walk in off the street. It’s mostly planned meetings and lots of coordination with the sites. We are just a group of people trying to grow this business in a sensible way. We don't use any fancy corporate talk here. It’s just about getting the orders right and making sure the logistics don't fall apart. The building has a lot of rules, but we've settled in nicely over the years. It’s a steady pace of work. We come in, do what needs to be done for the steel trade, and head home. It’s a modern spot for a very old-school kind of industry, and we just keep plugging away at it.
