Samaaveshi Pathshaala Foundation

We’re based out of Tulsi Angan in Bhisegaon. It’s a flat on the third floor, Wing 8. Karjat is a bit quieter than the big cities like Mumbai, which suits us just fine. We focus on schooling and making sure kids aren't left behind by the system. The name of the foundation basically means an inclusive school, and that’s what we try to work towards. It’s not a huge operation at all. We spend most of our time working with local families who need a hand with their kids' education. Some days are harder than others, especially when resources are tight or we can't find the right materials. We don't have fancy desks or a big reception area with a secretary. It’s just a workspace where we get things done. We chose this spot in Raigarh because we saw a real need for it here. People in the building know who we are and what we’re about. We might not have everything figured out perfectly, but we show up every day. Education shouldn’t be a luxury for anyone, so we try to make it work for everyone. It’s a simple setup. We drink a lot of chai and talk to parents about how their kids are doing in class. It's a bit of a climb to the third floor, but the view of the hills is nice in the mornings. We aren't trying to be the biggest foundation out there, just the one that helps the kids in this patch of Karjat.
