Renuka Icecream Parlour

Renuka Icecream Parlour is located at the Chakan Nanded Phata. It is right on the corner, so it's easy to spot if you are driving through. We have been here for a few years, and it has become a regular stop for people heading out of the city. The shop is small, mostly taken up by the cooling units we need for the ice cream and cold drinks. We keep a few chairs outside because it gets stuffy inside during the summer months. The dust from the road can be a bit of a problem, so we are constantly wiping down the tables and the front window. It’s mostly family members working here. We take turns with the shifts so the shop can stay open from morning until late at night. We see a lot of travelers and truck drivers who just want something cold to drink while they take a break from the wheel. We also get the local kids from the nearby houses in the evenings. The flavors we have are basic, nothing too fancy, but they are what people ask for. We have to keep an eye on the fridge temperatures constantly, which is a bit of a chore given the power cuts. It’s a simple life running a parlour out here on the phata. We aren't trying to be the biggest place, just a reliable one where you can get a cone or a cup for a fair price.
