Ramanand Sagar Foundation

You can find us at House Number 589, which is right near the Karjat Phata on the way towards Panvel. We are in the Raigarh district, and it’s a bit of a drive out from the main city centers. The Ramanand Sagar Foundation has its base here in this house. It’s a more relaxed setting than a typical downtown office. We have some trees around the property and it feels a lot more open. Being near the Karjat Phata means we get people stopping by who are traveling between Panvel and the hills. We don't have a big staff, just a few local people who help keep things running. The office is really just a few rooms converted for our work. We spend a lot of time on the phone or meeting with people who live in the surrounding villages. It’s not a high-tech operation. We still use a lot of paper and keep everything in folders. The monsoon season gets pretty intense here, and sometimes the road gets a bit muddy, but we stay open. We don't go in for big speeches or promotional events. We just focus on the tasks we have each day. It’s a quiet life here for the most part, apart from the cars on the main road. Most people in the area know the house number and just drop by when they need to talk to someone from the foundation. It is just a simple house where we get things done.
